Photography: Architectural Digest – January 2018
A home sold by Peggy and Kirk Economos in 2013 is featured in the January 2018 edition of Architectural Digest.
Peggy commented: “It is no surprise to us that the home has been featured in AD. We believe that in months and years to come it will garner further recognition. The home was beautifully designed and constructed, has an incredible location and amazing gardens. The extraordinary job of interior decorating directed by our buyers under the superbly talented decorator Miles Redd, has just taken it to an entirely new level of beauty and excellence.”
The house was designed by renowned San Francisco Architect Alfred H. Jacobs (designer of San Francisco’s Curran Theater) and was built in 1907 for Alfred and Rose Sutro. The Edwardian home is clad in rough brick that is laced by climbing Ficus vine. The classic 3-story facade is accented with arched floor to ceiling ground floor windows and large second story windows with decorative balconies.

Peggy and Kirk Economos represented the buyers of the prestigious home which borders on the Presidio National Park. It was their premier sale of the year in 2013 and at $18 Million represented the most expensive MLS single family residential listing sold in San Francisco that year. The property was selected as the San Francisco Designer Showcase Home for 2014 and underwent renovation from the time shortly after the showcase until being completed earlier this year.
Peggy and Kirk Economos agents with Pacific Union International, represent extraordinary properties and extraordinary buyers and sellers of residential real estate in San Francisco. They are delighted to have represented the buyers of this home and to have represented a property that is now featured in Architectural Digest. They both agree that the property contributes to making San Francisco the beautiful city that it is.
